STEP #1 - SUBMIT DOCUMENTS. To join this online resource, please e-mail the following scanned documents to stephanie.freelancerartist@gmail.com

1)Transcript of Grades, scanned copy in color.

2)Diploma, scanned copy in color.

3)Any government ID with a picture and signature, scanned copy in color. (not valid if no picture and signature).

4)A soft copy of the picture you want to upload in the website, so that the client can see your face before she selects you and book a tutorial session with you. Please opt for a formal photo, not a candid shot.

5)A one-page CV or Resume in editable word file format.

6) A signed Alliance Academie membership form. Form downloadable below. 

 

STEP #2 - CREATE A PROFILE in the webpage. All tutor applicants may directly create a profile in the Public Directory by creating a tutor profile in the Create your Tutor Profile page in this link : https://www.mybiblioteque.com/create-your-tutor-profile .

 

They will automatically be upgraded to the main Power Tutor page as soon as their documents are evaluated. The Public Directory sign-up will queue them for the evaluation and upgrade.

STEP #3 -  REGISTER AS MEMBER. Register as a Member in the Virtual Office. To do this, follow the instructions below:

 

1.Go to www.hawthorneconsultancymanila.com

2.Click on the Member Log-in and sign-up as a Member. Wait for the membership approval. We will have to check the documents you submitted first and only then can we approve your request.

3.Once your membership is approved, log-in and go to the Teachers’ Lounge inside the Virtual Office tab.

4.Study all the materials in the Teachers’ Lounge.

 

STEP #4 TAKE THE TEST.

 

Take the online test through the link in the Announcements section of the Teachers’ Lounge.

 

If you pass the test, you will increase your chances to be included in the main Power Tutor page of the Power Tutorial website.

How is the income sharing ? 

How does the money thing work? 

  •  A one (1) hour tutorial session is Php 400.

  •  Php 300 will go to the tutor, which is 75%.

  •  The remaining 25%, which is the remaining Php100 will be the Power Tutorial booking fee. This will be used to maintain the website and run ads to generate website traffic.

  •  Since the usual minimum for each tutorial session is two (2) hours, one booked session will earn you Php 600.

Who will create the instruction material?

  • In general, for generic academic lessons, the tutor will create the instruction material, she will just be provided with the learning objective, topic and reference material, it is up to her to prepare. The internet has a wealth of resource, it even has ready-made presentation materials and we trust that our tutors possess the academic expertise to sift through the junk in the internet and properly discern which are “correct” and “legit” references. Also, the reason we are inviting legit educators is in the hope that they have these materials readily available for their use already.

  • The material should preferably be in powerpoint but other formats are allowed, be it in word, PDF or excel, as long as it is readable, presentable and professional-looking.

Will the tutorial session be recorded?

 It is the prerogative of the tutor. She has to let us know if she wants it recorded or not. She has an option to decline without the need to provide an explanation and Power Tutorial will respect that. However, should she permit it to be recorded, we will archive it and if the lesson is executed in a professional and engaging manner, Power Tutorial reserves the right to edit the video, repurpose it and make it available to the public for a fee but the following will be done:

 

ØThe tutor will be given a modest royalty each time it is used commercially which is 30% of the net income that will be derived from the commercialization of the material.

ØThe identity of the student will be hidden/protected by editing out his/her image, name or any identifiable information.

The Freelance Tutor agrees to perform tutoring services including but not limited to:

  • ­One-on-One instruction of subject matter to Client’s booked tutorial client.

  • ­Preparing a presentation material, when needed, and as agreed upon in advance with the Booking Student.

Who will create the instruction material if it is a special lesson/learning goal?

For “special lessons” Power Tutorial will provide the tutor with a screenshot of the materials or other references but putting together the powerpoint is still the tutor’s responsibility.

 

Special Lessons have a certain additional fee tucked in, to be paid by the Power Tutorial customer.

Power Tutorial is an online directory of tutors in English, Math and Science who can all be booked online for an online tutorial through its booking facility in its website.
It helps qualified and aspiring tutors to benefit from the gig economy, work around their personal schedule and get additional credentials. 
 Power Tutorial is more than just a money-making venture, it aims to provide a good trade
 between a parent seeking help and a tutor benefiting from additional income to produce a noble outcome ---
 a new generation of job-ready professionals and business savvy entrepreneurs.

PAYMENT NOTICE

RECEIPT POLICY

All Hawthorne payments are only accepted through deposit to the authorized Hawthorne passbook-only Savings Account Number (3731027071). Payments can be made Over the Counter, via online banking or fund transfer, but it has to be deposited to this bank account only. Cash and/or Cheque payments paid in person will not be accepted, it has to be deposited to the authorized Hawthorne bank account. Payments through other payment channels will not be accepted. Likewise, also note that ALL Hawthorne payments including all its brands do not accept payment in any of our websites because all website payments are disabled. This Hawthorne bank account number is indicated in the contract signed by the Lead Consultant and only the Lead Consultant is authorized to sign any contract or issue any receipt in behalf of Hawthorne Consultancy and these contracts are signed only by the Lead Consultant on-site in a face-to-face meeting. No other representative has been authorized to accept any payment in behalf of Hawthorne nor execute any financial transaction in behalf of Hawthorne. This payment rule applies not only to the Hawthorne Consultancy business but also to the following Hawthorne brands --- Clerica, Canterbury Academy, Lingua Franca, Biblioteque, Maldita Speaks, Power Tutorial. There is only one authorized bank account for all Hawthorne payments for all its brands.

There are only two modifications to this payment rule which is in the case of Power Tutorial and MOD, wherein for these two only the twenty-five percent (25%) downpayment - which serves as Consultant’s Fee - is paid to the Hawthorne bank account, because the 75% balance payment is paid directly to the tutor ( for Power Tutorial) or client ( for MOD).

​Note that PowerTutorial is a microsite temporarily housed in the Biblioteque domain but Biblioteque is a totally separate brand from Power Tutorial and therefore, all of the fees for payment in Biblioteque (unlike Power Tutorial) is for the full account of Hawthorne Consultancy only. Biblioteque has no associates, no partners or other service providers, unlike Power Tutorial.

​This notice is communicated in all Hawthorne materials---website, contracts, e-mails, mobile messages, receipts and all marketing materials such as brochures, letterheads and proposals.

All company-issued official receipts in Hawthorne Training Consultancy are treated as accountable forms and are subject to controlled issuance. Each official receipt bears a unique serial number, and blocks or ranges of these serial numbers shall be assigned to specific clients and this series is indicated in the notarized client contract signed both by Hawthorne and the client. Once assigned, receipt series shall be used exclusively for the designated client and must not be transferred, reassigned, or reused under any circumstances for another client. Should the serial number range of the receipts indicated in the client contract be depleted, an appendix to the contract will be prepared indicating the new block of the receipts’ serial number series that will be designated for the said client and this addendum should be notarized and become a part of the original contract.     

Further, each Hawthorne-issued receipt is only valid if the details and notes are handwritten by the Lead Consultant in blue ink, including the printed name and signature. Furthermore, it should always bear the paid amount both in words and in figures. There are no other signatories for the receipt apart from the Lead Consultant.

The assignment of receipt series per client is intended to ensure traceability, prevent duplication or unauthorized issuance, and establish clear accountability for every transaction recorded.

ANNOUNCEMENT
